France: September, 2089 AD
Chateau Ricordeau, France: August, 2089 AD is the seventh episode of Series 1.
Will broods over his loss of Eloise when Duc de Sarlat comes to talk with him and mock him. Will speaks with the Count and Countess of Chateau Ricordeau, who happily declare that Will is part of their family now and may live in the Chateau. However, during a party, Will slips away and rides a horse out of the Chateau.
After travelling for some time, Will is suddenly surprised by a Tripod and taken inside of it. He wakes up later next to a river bank with his horse still there. He continues on his way until he is reunited with Henry and Beanpole in an abandoned boat. They continue their journey together and spot the City of Gold in the distance.
The boys arrive at a ruined house, where a Tripod attempts to catch them. They run away and hide in an old tunnel, where they discover that Will has a metallic object attached to him under his armpit. Realizing that the object is sending signals to the Tripods, Will volunteers to stay behind to let Henry and Beanpole escape.
